Gov. John R. Kasich and JobsOhio President and Chief Investment Officer Mark Kvamme today announced that All Service Plastic Molding, Inc. (ASPM) will relocate and expand operations to Vandalia, a project that will create 101 new full-time jobs and generate $2.4 million in additional annual payroll.
Ohio faced stiff competition from Indiana for the project, but a strong partnership between JobsOhio and the City of Vandalia, and today's decision by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority to approve a $98,333 Job Creation Tax Credit helped to solidify the company's decision to expand operations in Ohio. ASPM will make a $9 million investment to outfit a new 143,000 square-foot facility to house all of the company's warehousing and manufacturing needs.
"It's exciting to see job creators embracing Ohio's efforts to create a climate where they can grow and succeed," said Gov. John R. Kasich. "We've stabilized Ohio's finances, are streamlining regulation, have reduced taxes and have given job creators a competent partner like JobsOhio that understands their needs. All of this is helping create the jobs-friendly environment we need so that Ohioans can get back to work. It's exciting to see it all happening."
As part of the tax credit agreement, the state requires the company to maintain operations at the project location for at least eight years. ASPM has also committed to hiring at least 10 percent disadvantaged and/or minority employees as defined by the Ohio Administrative Code.
ASPM is a manufacturer of plastic parts. The company was established in 1984. It is part of the Minco Group. ASPM serves the automotive, consumer, electrical, medical, telecom and office and business equipment markets. Customers include fortune 500 companies, large automotive suppliers and manufacturers, and small businesses.
